Birthplace: Xanthi (1948).

General studies in Xanthi.
Musical studies (flute, clarinet, tenor saxophone) in the Fanfare of Xanthi Municipal Conservatory (1958-72) with masters Constantinos Michakopoulos, Theodoros Papalexandridis, Nikolaos Koursoumtzoglou. Theoretic studies with Theodoros Mimikos.
Degree in Physics from the Physics Department of the Aristotlean University of Thessaloniki (1972).
Professor of Physics in private education (1974-77).
Post-graduate diploma (Master) Electronic physics (radioelectrology) from the Math-Physics Faculty of the Aristotlean University of Thessaloniki (1977-79).
PhD from the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the Aristotlean University of Thessaloniki entitled: “MATHEMATICAL STUDY OF THE STRUCTURE OF GREEK FOLKS SONGS FROM KALAMATA AND OBJECTIVE RECORDING OF MONOPHONIC MUSIC IN MUSICAL NOTATION» (1983).

Professor mr. Charalambos Spyridis participated in numerous International and regional Conferences with original announcements. He has published many original papers in reputable international and greek scientific journals and has authored forty eight textbooks in order to meet the instructional needs of the students in the courses that he used to teach at the Physics Department of the Aristotlean University of Thessaloniki, in the Musical Studies Department of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotlean University of Thessaloniki and teaches in the Musical Studies Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He was a Chairman of the Musical Studies Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, President of the Union of Greek Physisists, Member of Congress of Balkan Physisists Union, Member of the Artistic Committee of the Ministry of Education.

He is a member of the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (ELINA), research fellow of the Centre for contemporary music (KSYME) of IANIS XENAKIS in Athens and resident member of the Literary Association PARNASSOS, “LIFETIME RESIDENT MEMBER OF THE SCHOOL OF ATHENS”, qualified for the Section (Order) of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and under construction and organization Institute of Greek National Music”.

He is married to Anna Spyridou, of the Kyriakidou family, and has two daughters, Eleni (PhD, BSc (Hons)) and Styliani (graduate student of the Law school of the Democritus University of Thrace).
