The society of Ancient Greek philosophy "Sun Ἀthina" organizes the 2nd Panhellenic Conference on political philosophy on 18-20 November 2016 the city of Kavala, under the auspices of the Ecumenical Patriarch tarasios Bartholomew, with General subject political theory: what is the foremost is the city? "What must be the sovereign power of the State?" (Aristotle, politics 3.1281 a 11), and in particular the following thematic areas:

-Appraisal of the contribution of the parties in the new Greek State

PARTICIPATION INSTRUCTIONS

Those/the wish to take part in the Conference with oral communication or poster/poster should submit their resumes by 20/6/2016 in electronic form, in two forms (named and unnamed), online at philosophia.ancilla@gmail.com. The information concerning the acceptance of abstracts will be made until 8/20/2016. The texts of the abstracts must have an area of 400-500 words (without the potential literature) and be sent in pdf or word format to the email address above. Anonymous file should not contain references to the text or literature (see. then details). For oral communications that will be accepted will be allocated 30 minutes presentation, while it is possible and poster presentation/poster. Each participant has the right to participate only with one communication (individual or group).

SPECIFICATIONS SUMMARY

Please the summary to meets the following specifications:

Content: The content of the summary, as well as the presentation, you must have relevance to the theme of the Conference and to balance between promotion and popularization. You should have sufficient evidence for scientific validity and reliability, but also can appeal to a broader audience and scientifically diverse.

Type of presentation: at the beginning of the summary please specify if participation is desirable

(a) by oral communication, (b) or (c) poster without preference.

All participants-will have the opportunity to submit an article for the Conference proceedings.

PARTICIPATION  

H participation for taking certificate is 20 euros and especially for students (at undergraduate or postgraduate level), for polyteknoys, unemployed (unemployment card) and members of the Club at 15 euros. TIMESHIFT in Congress has reduced costs (overall attendance 10 euros), the deadline is until 23 September 2016. The payment of the corresponding amount may be:

(a) either by bank transfer of the Association ancient Greek Philosophy "Sun Ἀthina" (Piraeus Bank, account number 060227-5245-986)

(b) either via PayPal (more information on the Club's website, English-language version: URsinathena.wordpress.com).

The simple monitoring of the whole Conference, without receiving the certificate, is free and open to everyone.

CONGRESS VENUES

The main venue of the Conference is the municipal library of Kavala. Other spaces and specific information will be announced together with the official Conference program.
